On dec 3, I went to Timbre with friends to celebrate my friend's birthday!

We ordered a Salmon pizza and in my opinion, I still prefer Pizza Hut's. The pizza at Timbre is too thin and overpriced. Furthermore, the salmon is waayyy too salty.

While dining, we had the privilege of listening to two musicians performing covers of Viva La Vida (by Coldplay) and Hey Soul Sister (by Train). The sound system was so good, I really liked the lively ambience!

Apparently, there were quite a few others who were sharing the same birthday as my friend. So they were all asked to go on stage (except my friend because she is such a wimp) to perform the dance to Wonder Girls' Nobody!!

Exams have ended on 29th Nov, so I'm officially free! Life has been good so far, and I've already sent in several job applications. Can't wait to buy the things I've always wanted!

Cleaned a part of my stuff today, and if not for the mask, I know I would've sneezed my sensitive nose off~

Town was extremely crowded on that day, probably because hundreds of other students ended their exams on the very same day. We wanted to watch You're The Apple Of My Eye at Orchard Cineleisure, but were hit obstacles after obstacles when we found out the tix were sold out. In the end, we ended up watching at Plaza Sing!

We saw Wu Zun!! (and a few other celebrities, of whom I do not know of)

I guess the event was poorly advertised, because the crowd was rather small (approximately 60 people?).

I had to tiptoe in order to see him :( But nonetheless, I was quite glad to be able to see him in real life. It was like a dream, because I've been watching Sunny Girl on TV and it felt like he just teleported from the TV screen to right in front of my eyes!

Moving on, You're The Apple of My Eye is a rather good movie! Been long since I last watched an Asian highschool romance!

Not to mention, the main actor and actress are a very matching pair!

And it includes a funny clique of unique and quirky characters into the package

and... Michelle Chen is really beautiful!

Last night, my brother said there's a new PizzaHut outlet opened near our house, so we went to get a pizza to satisfy our cravings and hunger!

It has been long since I last had pizza, due to exams and also due to the thought of changing to a healthier diet. But right after exams, I had KFC, McDonalds, Subway, and PizzaHut all within a week! Oh nooo... T_T

Recently, I read about a couple who became Twitter sensation after quarrelling about their marriage at Burger King, and later suggested divorced. I do hope they are fine now. But the man was complaning to his wife that whenever his mom asks her to wash the dishes, she doesn't. That's why he wanted to divorced her. Whutt?! It probably was his last straw.

DEAR TRYING TO FINISH: Frankly, I think your husband is right. He may not need the answer to his question as much as he needs your companionship at the time he's reaching out. If finishing a chapter is so important that you can't take a few minutes and talk with him, then suggest that in 15 to 20 minutes you can give him the rest of the evening to talk. If my husband is involved in a project, or I am, that's what we do, and it works for us.

Somehow, this story reminds me that many couples actually argue over the most stupid and simplest things ever. It's pretty absurd, or even sometimes funny, when you tell others about it, but if you were one of them it's really frustrating. Who's at fault here? It's hard to determine when both of them express really good arguments for their stand.. and usually both are at fault, because both aren't listening to each other's complaints. I feel that arguments like these are the results of failure to listen to your partner's needs..

Yesterday, I was invited for Footloose's movie preview by OMY.SG. Looking at the trailers and movie posters, I thought Footloose would be similar to other dance-themed movies like Step Up or High School Musical. However, Footloose comes with a twist! It is set in a small town in Bomont back in the 80's, in which DANCING and ROCK music are banned. Absurd, isn't it?

The movie stars Kenny Wormald and the irresistibly hot Julianne Hough, who wows the audience with sexy dance moves in the film.

Here's the synopsis (from Wikipedia):

*SPOILERS AHEAD*

After a long night of partying, Bobby Moore and his friends drive over the bridge and crash into a truck. His father, Shaw Moore (Dennis Quaid), the reverend of the church of the small Southern United States town of Bomont, Georgia, suddenly blames the Bomont City Council for the accident, and strictly bans all dancing and rock music.
Three years later, Ren McCormack (Kenny Wormald), a teenager raised in Boston, moves to Bomont to live with his uncle, aunt, and cousins after his mother's painful death from Leukemia. Soon after arriving, Ren makes friends with Willard Hewitt (Miles Teller), a fellow student at Ren's new high school, and from him learns that the city council banned dancing.
He soon begins to be attracted to Moore's rebellious daughter Ariel (Julianne Hough), who has a boyfriend named Chuck Cranston. After an insult from Chuck, Ren ends up in a game of chicken involving buses, and despite his inability to drive a bus, he wins. Reverend Moore mistrusts Ren, forbidding Ariel to see him ever again. Ren and his classmates want to do away with the law and have a senior prom, especially with it just around the corner. After an argument about Ren, Chuck breaks up with and abuses Ariel. Ren arrives to Ariel's aid and kisses her.
Ren goes before the city council and reads several Bible verses, given to him by Ariel, that claim in ancient times people would dance to rejoice, exercise, or celebrate. Ren also teaches Willard how to dance. The city council votes against him. Moore's wife, Vi, is supportive of the movement, and explains to Moore he cannot be everyone's father, and that he is hardly being a good father to Ariel. She also says that dancing and music are not the problem. Ren tells Moore that even though they denied the motion to dismiss the law, that they cannot stop the teenagers from having the dance, then asks him respectfully if he can take Ariel.
On Sunday, Shaw asks his congregation to pray for the high school students putting on the prom, which is set up at a cotton mill outside of the town, across the town line. As that was happening, Ren, Willard, and Chuck were having a beating outside of the prom, but Chuck is defeated. Ren goes to prom with Ariel, proclaiming loudly, "Let's dance!".

Ren McCormack, although just a teenager (in addition, he is new to Bomont), bravely decides to petition for dancing and music to be allowed. His act was further encouraged by the death of his mother due to Leukemia, to prove that he could be useful.

I feel, though, that more dance scenes should be included! Julianne Moore is too hot!

Many teenagers today are blessed by the ability to express themselves through dance and music without unreasonable restrictions. This movie serves to let us experience how it might be like if we lost the right. I think it serves as a reminder for us to appreciate the rights we have that others may not.

HI! My dear friend Renee won an invitation to Dr Martens' First Exhibition at Zouk on 7th October, Friday.

Here's the invitation card.

There were two detachable "rings" on the invitation card and we thought we were supposed to wear it in order to gain entry to Zouk, but when we reached, ONE of them FELL OUT! So we panicked and looked all over for it. In the end, we decided to ask the people-in-charge whether we still can gain entry even without the ring. While she was asking, I found one on the floor and said "Hey is it this one?" in the nick of time. I picked it up and gave it to her. In the end, we found out that they didn't need the ring after all!! We were given the entry stamp & wristband straightaway.

The exhibition ended within 10 minutes after we reached, which was a pity. Had a look at a few good ones and not-so-good ones, was pretty impressed by the artwork. Then, they cleared the dancefloor and DJ Shinichi Osawa started his work. The atmosphere was pretty dull because the dancefloor was just opened and nobody went on it. Only a couple of people stepped on it and danced like zombies. I think they were drunk!

We went upstairs. They gave out free "cones" of fried fish & chips! I don't know why ours didn't have chips, I think they ran out of it. It was pretty nice to have some food in the ice cold room!

On Saturday, met up with my crazy friends for some Astons. I hadn't been here for a long time! I think the last time I was here was 1 or 2 years ago, on Belle's birthday! (Good memories) The food is affordable as all prices reflected were inclusive of GST. Even after inclusion of GST, each dish cost below $10! I had my share of Grilled Fish with Herbs with the choice of sides fries and rice. A bottle of Ice Lemon Tea costs $2, a bottle of Snapple costs $2.80, a glass of ice water comes with a charge of $0.30. I was a little dissatisfied with the Ice Lemon Tea though, it was very dilute and did not taste anything like tea.

I took a picture of everyone else's food but I forgot to take mine :( The Grilled Fish with Herbs was delicious, and I feel it's comparable to Manhattan's Fish Market (my favourite restaurant). Astons is like a more affordable version of Manhattan's.

By the time we finished, most shops have already closed. After walking around, we headed back to Sembawang MRT via the shuttle bus, and sat at McDonalds for a while before separating ways and heading home. Overall, it is a happy meetup :)

Ants and their pheromones

It was a random day, when I wanted to seal an envelope with some glue. However, much to my horror, I found a bunch of dead ants in a recently-opened bottle of glue!

The cap was missing, so I assume someone probably left it uncapped due forgetfulness/laziness/busyness, but apparently the first ant that found the glue inside the bottle made a huge mistake and lead a bunch of his fellow mates to death :/

Ants rely on pheromones to find food. When an ant finds food, it quickly heads back into its cave before anything else can get to the food, leaving a trail of pheromones that fellow ants can follow to the location of the food. (That's why if you see a trail of ants and rub a finger in between it, sometimes the ants' get confused and run all over the place)

Apparently, the first ant thought that glue was delicious and wanted to bring it back to the colony; but little did it know that it'd get him caught up in such a sticky situation...

Crazy Stupid Love

Caught Crazy Stupid Love yesterday. I don't usually watch romance/comedy/drama type of movies, but recently after watching Something Borrowed and Horrible Bosses I began to find them uplifting and enjoyable to watch.

I think though, the highlight of the whole show isn't how screwed up the protagonist's life is and how he tried to mend it; it is how hot Ryan Gosling is.

Did a little more research after the movie and found out that, other than being a talented actor, he is a talented singer, musician and pianist too. IN addition, he is very patient with his fans, polite with paparazzi and has a kind heart. He broke up a fight in public. (Go to his fanpage for the video) In short, he's a role model.

I look at other people's lives, and I look at mine. I wonder what I'm doing. I have no idea.

Like many other people, I am just living my life day after day, with no goals. But like many other people as well, I have my own dreams and aspirations too.

The thief that stole hearts

As the morning breeze blew through the translucent white curtains, the soft sunshine revealed her pale skin from time to time. Watching her sleep, I held her hands in my own. A few wrinkles have grown by the side of her eyes, and strands of white hair have replaced her original deep brown colour. She has aged, but she is still the same Daniella that I know. The very same woman, whom, like a beaming and hopeful sunflower juxtaposed amongst withered ones, has never failed to inspire and amaze me. She is the most beautiful woman that I have ever seen.

There are women with true beauty and false beauty. There are women whom the society inadvertently point out and worship as "gorgeous" beauties, but they are nothing but a body applied full of chemical products and treated by surgery. My Daniella, however, pale as she is, was never one of them. She is a living example of what true beauty is. I have loved her at her best and at her worst, and this will never change. I love her very much. I have vowed at the very start of our relationship, and at our wedding, and on anniversaries, that I will love her as she is no matter what happens. This holds true until today. For she no longer remembers me.

I have her medicine and a glass of warm water placed beside her bedside table, just as I normally would, every single day. I wait for her to open her shimmering blue eyes, and look at me. Alzheimer's is a thief, a thief that destroys lives and steals loved ones away. But I am a relentless warrior, in a sense. I will not give up, so I make sure that every single morning she wakes up and sees my face, in hopes that she will mutter at least my name, without me reminding her or reassuring her of anything. Doctors have said that the chances of her remembering who I am are slim, but I will cease even the least possibility to the best of my efforts.

When my legs went numb for a moment, I shifted and accidentally tugged my elbow against Daniella's. Her eyes opened.

Been watching quite a few good movies the last month. (Captain America: The First Avenger, Cowboys and Aliens, Rise of the Planet of the Apes)

I feel that Cowboys and Aliens is a good movie to me because I went into the theatre "expecting a movie about cowboys and aliens" instead of "thinking it to be a blockbuster movie". It's unique on its own because it places two uncanny groups in a single story, and has a brilliant actor Daniel Craig! He has recently become one of my favourite actors!

Daniel Craig is blessed with a pair of shimmering blue eyes. I can't stop staring into his eyes on the big screen!

Rise of the planet of the apes is another great movie. It is intriguing with the intricately detailed graphics of the apes, mainly Caesar. It also made me think about how humans are capable of doing things that may cause their actions to backfire.

Rise of the planet of the apes has a short post-credit scene shortly after the movie ends. I'm guessing there'll be another sequel? I'm definitely going to watch.

This is how I look like right now, DRAINED. Drained like a soul being ripped from a body, leaving behind skeletal remains.

I only went to bed at 5AM last night and had to wake up at 7AM. I didn't know that long holidays tend to make me sleep less on the last night, just because I wanna savour the very last few hours of them..

Today, I had three tests, and three tests make time fly faster, but it makes you feel more drained than ever.. -_______-

I have to wake up at 5:30am tomorrow, and I have tons of work to do. If only I don't have to spend 1 hour travelling to and fro, I'd have saved a lot of time and gotten more sleep...

I'm blogging from the iPad for the first time.
Feels like a different experience, and I have yet to figure out how to skip a line! I dont even know how I just skipped that line...

Long string of holidays always sets me thinking. And whenever I think and reflect, I will blog. I used to do that more often in the past though. :) been really busy these couple of years, which explains the 'near hiatus' from blogging.

So these few days set me thinking about the future. Not too much about setting goals, but it was more of worrying for my future, thinking about what I'm currently doing (to put it bluntly, I'd consider it 'wasting my time'), and my desires for the future (not really aspirations but more of desires). And every single time I reflect about this, there is a deeply embedded urge to want to be liberated from my current circumstances. Meaning, I want to fast-forward the time right now to escape into a 'better future'. Sometimes I succeeding taking action to improve, but most of the times they were more of 'the mind is strong but the flesh is weak'. Is that how the quote goes? You get the drift.

I've never really mentioned this to anyone but one of the things I want to do starting from the end of this year is to try to set up a YouTube channel featuring gameplay videos. The reason I've never really talked about this to anyone us because very few of my friends play a lot of games. And it seemsi just rarely discuss about YouTube at all during my daily conversations. The problem is, I really need a better computer. A badass machine that can support even the most demanding of games and also with video recording programmed running in the background. Which means, this machine is gonna cost me a bomb. Gotta save up! Right now, my current computers will lag out even recording with simple games like plants vs zombies... Pathetic huh? :P oh and I know a lot of people think that girls shouldn't be like this but i figured I'm not gonna change for anyone... They're the ones missing out :P it's really the same as liking animes or Korean dramas but I choose to like games.. In troll language, it means 'Problem?' :P (nah, just kidding!)

Not gonna guarantee that it will come true once I get a new computer, but we shall see!

My brother brought home the flu virus, and passed it to me. Now my nose is like a running tap and I've wasted quite some trees from all e tissues I used :/

On a random note, I think music is essential, it's what makes the world go round, agree? :)

Ham & Cheese Skinny Pizza

1/4-metre Chicken sausage (Spicy!)

Went to eat at Skinny Pizza yesterday. Initially we settled down at a Japanese restaurant but I said I didn't feel like eating Japanese food. The sight and smell of okonomiyaki made me feel full, probably because I've seen and smelled too much okonomiyaki when I worked at a Japanese restaurant in the past! So we walked out after sitting down for not more than 10 secs, and headed to Skinny Pizza and I NEVER regretted.

The food is a little pricey, I must say! One plate of spaghetti costs $23? I think it's a little absurd..
If you were to dine there, be sure to bring more than one person's serving's money :P

I had ham & cheese skinny pizza and 1/4 metre-long chicken sausage. The pizza's crust is crispy, with a texture somewhat like paper prata. What I did not like about it is that its cheese was not melted. Melted cheese is almost always what I eat pizzas for! But nonetheless, it was unique.. The sausage was good though, and it was VERY spicy :S

of course i would like you to continue to blog! i everyday come in see but updates were ads and i thought you tio hacked or something. LOL...

I apologise for the long "hiatus" and the spamming of ads for the past few months, been really busy!

Been indulging in lots of good food recently. I've exhausted most of the dishes at Manhattan Fish Market because of the new outlet near my home. I swear, it's one of my favourite restaurants!

I used to like Frolick too but recently I've found another yoghurt that I like. It's "Yoguru". Their servings are unbelievably large! Just order a $3.80 cup without any toppings and you'd be very satisfied. Not trying to be biased here, but compared to Frolick, this serving is REALLY worth it.

I like it, I like it!

And the new Chicken McGrill from McDonalds' is MARVELOUS! My brother says that the McSpicy Chicken burger is better but I think this new burger is just as good! It's very spicy, so I like it! You gotta try it before it's gone!

I can't believe it, I won $100 just by drinking 2 bottles of water?! This is awesome! I'm soooo happy! This is SO worth it! It happened on the day I decided to go for a run to Woodgrove with my brother, and after reaching Woodgrove we popped by 7-eleven for a drink. I was about to choose another drink, but my brother insisted on that Pokka drink because they were on offer.. this is too good to be true! ^^

Hello! I made a birthday card for a friend recently. It's a picture of a creamy cake. Initially, I wanted to cut it out at its edges but I felt that the card was too small.. now I feel that it should've been cut out, but nevermind! It still looks great :D

The picture I used was randomly found on Google, by the way. I couldn't have drawn such a lovely cake without the help of it. Credits to the cake maker~

The process:

Step 1: Find a picture of a lovely cake.

Step 2: Draw the outline of the cake. (Don't be afraid to try, you can use tracing paper for it if you can't do it by eyes. The eraser's there for you too!)

Step 3: Paint! (Note: Remember to put paper underneath your card to protect your table!)

Step 4: Touch up with some gradient, glitter, ribbons and whatnots to your preference!

Step 5: Set it out to dry. And finally... tadah!

I don't know if I'm allowed to post this but.. this is another card as well xD

We ate at Just Acia.. Had a delicious creamy spaghetti of which I did not take a picture of (I just seem to not take photos when I dine at Just Acia!)

I shared the spag so I didn't really have my fill. When I reached back to Woodlands, I shared Macs. I'm a glutton! T.T

I've unknowingly done a short tutorial. Nonetheless, the cake's not perfect, I feel I can do better..

Overcoming the obstacle!

So... I know that I haven't been posting personal stuff lately.. but that's because I don't really have the time to. :( But today I suddenly have the urge to post about my personal life just because.. I'm going for wisdom teeth extraction tomorrow. I haven't been making this very public because I didn't think there was a need to.. But tomorrow is the surgery. This decision was made as far as a year back and this appointment was made about 5 months prior to today! And tonight as I sit here, I'm wondering why I have to face this, but none of my peers have to face it. Nonetheless, I know I'm gonna have to face it anyway in the future, so I'll take it early :/

As prepared or unafraid as I may seem to be, there is still a feeling of nervousness and fear in me.. because this is my first time having a surgery and requiring anesthesia. Speaking of anesthesia.. I think I'd rather have a tattoo than lay awake at the dental chair, losing much more blood than I would if I were to have a tattoo :(

I know it may be peanuts for some people but to me I am actually quite scared! The dentist has never been a place that I liked to go, I hate it even more than the doctor's! But looking on the positive side, I'm thinking that this surgery will do me good in future because I no longer have wisdom teeth. All I can imagine now, however, are the drillings, excessive bleeding and pain; and not to forget, the smell of the dental centre and the dentist's gloves.. I'm gonna tell myself to be brave!

Tonight, I'm gonna eat one last bowl of cookies and cream ice cream and from tomorrow onwards I'll be having plain porridge :( Or maybe even just barley. I feel a little better after ranting here. Wish me luck! Byeeeee

Watched Beastly and Fast Five yesterday.

Beastly is a generally 'peak-less' film. And I realised peak-less films aren't my type! The story has been relatively monotone. So.. although it has an interesting plot (not creative) it is not worth the money. Though taking on a more teenage version of Beauty and the Beast, the movie conveys an important message: to not be obsessed with appearance but rather appreciate inner beauty. A lot of people are superficial and judge people by appearance without going further to understand someone's personality. This makes you superficial. It makes you ugly, and by ugly I mean ugly on the inside. It's a difficult lesson to learn, and not many people are willing to learn.

Fast Five is VERY exciting. It's a very good movie! I like movies which instill a lot of stunts and excitement. When things get destroyed you know that the crew has spent a lot of money on the movie. This is what makes the movie worth your money. I like Vin Diesel and Paul Walker. And of course, who wouldn't want to watch hot babes Elsa Pataky and Gisele Harobo in action?

Most of everything she is and what she does. Nothing can be nitpicked. She's a warrior and stronger than most moms. Her strength, discipline and resilience is what I admire. Her unconditional love is what I am grateful for. She made me realise that no matter how rebellious I was she will still love me. She made me realise that no matter how useless I felt I am she never showed any less love. Although I may have been spoilt and favoured when I was younger, she let go gradually and gave me more freedom at the right time and at the right speed. It made me stronger than most of my peers and at the same time, ensured I had good childhood memories. She's a warrior and a queen.

Hi the weather had been so warm recently that just sitting down at the computer with a fan blowing at me will make me perspire and become sticky. This isn't summer, this is an oven!

I think my brother is becoming more and more like me and I'm becoming more and more like him. He has been screwing up his bio clock by sleeping at 7AM and waking up at 6PM! This is not healthy! For me, even though I had 4 days of rest I didn't really screw up my bio clock. If it was in the past I would've screwed it on the very first day. Thumbs up for my improvement! :D

They say high school friendships never last. The moment I learnt about it I didn't believe it at all. I beg to differ. Because in high school we were less prone to doing crazy stuffs. There were less things to deal with. There were sweeter memories. As you enter college, you'll realise everyone, and I mean everyone, can go to great lengths just for individual gains. It's due to the competitive nature of the academical environment. Superficiality exists. It's scary. I guess it's part of growing up. Adults are more corrupted, remember? More bad memories are created than good ones. In high school, there were white lies. And sweeter memories. As we enter college or university, there are real lies. And bad memories. If you're lucky, though, if your high school friends hadn't become superficial too, then you're all good. But there is this bonding back in high school that might remain even though you've all grown up. Also, high school friendships may be the best because back in primary school, everyone was too immature and ignorant about friendship. So little things like "I don't wanna be your friend anymore" and "Why did you take my eraser?" leave us bad impressions of our peers. In high school, we were just right. Neither too immature nor superficial. We were all growing up together. Just food for thought.

It showed how elaborate a world that mankind can create with his own imagination. It's an amazing movie. Thor makes amends with Odin, admitting he is not ready to be King, while on Earth Jane and her team search for a way to open a portal to Asgard so that Jane can reunite with Thor.
In a post-credits scene, Dr. Selvig is taken to a S.H.I.E.L.D. facility where he meets Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson). Fury asks Selvig to study the recently-discovered Cosmic Cube, which holds untold power, to which Selvig agrees. It is then revealed that Selvig is under the control of Loki, who has been transported to Earth.

And so I've been thinking what I'm doing with my life right now. If I had worked harder I might actually be enjoying life right now. I'd be earning my own expenses and be able to fork out enough money to fly overseas right now. I need a long, long vacation, an escapade, away from where I am right now. I need to explore another world in order to distract myself from the fact that life is going to be harder and more unexpected from hereon. I probably'd be like my friends who can go overseas right now. I won't even mind if I can stay geeky all day without income and play computer games all day. And sleep to my own satisfaction every, single afternoon.

But I don't regret that much either, I'm a very laidback and unorganised person. I guess that's what make it fair for me. :)

Since this has proved to be a difficult question for mankind, does it not exist? Is it just like cold, which is unequivocally the lack of heat? Is love something intangible, a cicumstance that is lack of hatred? However love is a positive feeling; and a lack of hatred would be neutrality; therefore it cannot be a lack of hatred.

It also can be defined as a positive feeling of strong emotions and affection. However, not all forms of love contain affection.

For every definition that mankind tries to make for this strong term, there will be loopholes.

The best way to define love is by real-life circumstances.

HI. Sorry that I haven't been updating! I've been busy with school. Every single night, I don't have the energy to update a proper post.

I'm having holidays now, but next week I'm having tests. I'm nervous.

And everytime the holiday hits, my bio clock screws up immediately. It has been like that since day one. I'll end up going to bed at 6am, and waking up at 7pm. It almost hints that I should be in another country. And everytime I try to fix it back.. I fail. So here I am, attempting the second time to switch my bio clock back, otherwise I'd have to sacrifice some sleep this Sunday. I know I'd fail, and I know I'd have to end up sacrificing my sleep on Sunday by the way.. but I've a dental appointment tomorrow that I cannot miss. Ahhh.. poor time management sucks :/

I'm trying not to get influenced

Recently, I've been feeling very down, and finding some of my thoughts disgusting and pointless perhaps because of watching documents related to child trafficking in africa and cambodia. It just breaks my heart.

I find my thoughts disgusting because everytime I crave for a certain food or feel reluctant to wake up in the morning I always think of the less privileged in the more remote parts of the world, and also why I take so many things for granted despite the fact that many people in other parts of the world suffer.

And witnessing how some people act around me I get even more upset about the differences in living between us and the poor. And then these thoughts will lead to me thinking that humans are generally selfish and I get even more disgusted at humans.

Sometimes when I eat I won't have the appetite. I've become pretty thrifty and sometimes I 'deprive' myself of the food I usually buy without a thought.

When I witness wrongdoings or the wrong kind of thinking I feel like voicing out that there ARE people suffering out there and we should not take things for granted. But then I am also a culprit of being materialistic and taking things for granted. So do I have any right to voice it out? And then there is this big reason that people like us come out with to support our right to enjoy our life as it is and complain as much because we all do live in different societies than these suffering people, right? I'm very often at war inside my head.

So the next time you get all excited over LV or Gucci bags or keep comparing who has the latest gadgets, think again. These people don't even know what chocolates are..

I watched this documentary today. It's so sad! It reveals the cruel truth of child trafficking, slavery and abuse in the chocolate industry. These children in Africa are mostly children conned into working for cocoa plantations for little or no money. What is this?! Every chocolate you purchase from the grocery store may be a product made by child labour. Imagine the amount of guilt I felt! I'm also well aware that electronic gadgets like iphones and ipods may be made by child labour too. Is this true? I'm really sad! :(

Hi. The weather is turning hot! Can you sense it? The monsoon season is over. No more consecutive days of rainfall. This afternoon was a hot one, and it rained in the evening. I got caught in the rain (for 30 seconds)! Weird weather!

My brother says I've 'no spacial awareness'. (In other words, clumsy) Because ever since this year started, I've been bumping and kicking into furniture countless times. What's worse, they hurt! Now my feet toes and rest of my limbs have weird bruises and cuts all over. Furthermore, I have blisters on my feet. They've been healing real slowly because I always seem to re-open the wound! Today, the wound stuck onto my sock. Gross!

And I feel so old, I think I have rheumatism! On rainy days, my left knee hurts. Tell me what to do?!

Hihihi. Met up with a few friends on Friday night. Had some drinks, cards, and partied at night. We girls are very protective of each other. So don't come near us. Hahaha :P Had a pretty good night except SOMEONE was drunk and uber high huh? Unglam :P

How to be Alone by Tanya Davis

If you are at first lonely, be patient.
If you’ve not been alone much, or if when you were, you weren’t okay with it, then just wait.
You’ll find it’s fine to be alone once you’re embracing it.

We could start with the acceptable places, the bathroom, the coffee shop, the library.
Where you can stall and read the paper, where you can get your caffeine fix and sit and stay there.
Where you can browse the stacks and smell the books.
You’re not supposed to talk much anyway so it’s safe there.

There’s also the gym.
If you’re shy you could hang out with yourself in mirrors, you could put headphones in.

And there’s public transportation, because we all gotta go places.

And there’s prayer and meditation.
No one will think less if you’re hanging with your breath seeking peace and salvation.

Start simple. Things you may have previously based on your avoid being alone principals.

The lunch counter. Where you will be surrounded by chow-downers.
Employees who only have an hour and their spouses work across town and so they, like you, will be alone.

Resist the urge to hang out with your cell phone.

When you are comfortable with eat lunch and run, take yourself out for dinner.
A restaurant with linen and silverware.
You’re no less intriguing a person when you’re eating solo dessert
to cleaning the whipped cream from the dish with your finger.
In fact some people at full tables will wish they were where you were.

Go to the movies where it is dark and soothing.
Alone in your seat amidst a fleeting community.
And then, take yourself out dancing to a club where no one knows you.
Stand on the outside of the floor till the lights convince you more and more and the music shows you. Dance like no one’s watching, because, they’re probably not.
And, if they are, assume it is with best of human intentions.
The way bodies move genuinely to beats is, after all, gorgeous and affecting.
Dance until you’re sweating, and beads of perspiration remind you of life’s best things,
down your back like a book of blessings.

Go to the woods alone, and the trees and squirrels will watch for you.
Go to an unfamiliar city, roam the streets,
there are always statues to talk to and benches made for
sitting give strangers a shared existence if only for a minute and these moments can be so uplifting
and the conversations you get in by sitting alone on benches
might have never happened had you not been there by yourself.

Society is afraid of alonedom, like lonely hearts are wasting away in basements,
like people must have problems if, after a while, nobody is dating them.
But lonely is a freedom that breaths easy and weightless and lonely is healing if you make it.

You could stand, swathed by groups and mobs or hold hands with your partner,
look both further and farther for the endless quest for company.
But no one’s in your head and by the time you translate your thoughts,
some essence of them may be lost or perhaps it is just kept.

Perhaps in the interest of loving oneself,perhaps all those sappy slogans from preschool over
to high school’s groaning were tokens for holding the lonely at bay
Cuz if you’re happy in your head than solitude is blessed and alone is okay.

It’s okay if no one believes like you.
All experience is unique, no one has the same synapses, can’t think like you,
for this be relieved, keeps things interesting life’s magic things in reach.

And it doesn’t mean you’re not connected, that community’s not present,
just take the perspective you get from being one person in one head and feel the effects of it.
Take silence and respect it. if you have an art that needs a practice, stop neglecting it.
If your family doesn’t get you, or religious sect is not meant for you, don’t obsess about it.

You could be in an instant surrounded if you needed it
If your heart is bleeding make the best of it
There is heat in freezing, be a testament.

Yesterday night, my brother and I ordered pizza from pizza de france. We got a couple combo which consisted of pizza, wedges, and chicken wings. I'd comment that the pizza's flavour is great but everything else isn't that good.. I still prefer pizzahut. They have the best drumlets!

Recently I've been eyeing on many apparels that caught my eyes. However, I'm too broke to purchase any of them :( Usually, I'd buy everything and anything that I like but I've been too tight recently. So, I'm very sad... :(

On Wednesday, I went to a library's cafe for some ice blended drinks. It's awesome! Overpriced, but awesome!

Oh and it has been raining for a veryyyyy long time. I like the weather! But I think it's pretty dangerous to have rained for so long. I hope nothing's wrong!
